OJSC “Kazanorgsintez” is situated in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan Republic, Russia. Kazan is situated on the river Volga, approximately 800 kilometers to the East from Moscow. Production complex is situated about 15 kilometers to the North-West from the city centre.
OJSC “Kazanorgsintez” establishment dates back to the end of 1950-ies. The first batch was produced in 1963. The territory of the plant constitutes 4,2 km2 (common industrial area ). From the time of establishment the plant runs without break. There are more than 7000 employees.
The plant consists of the next productions, which have common transport, electric power and telecommunication infrastructure:
Ethylene plant ( including phenol-acetone production );
High density polyethylene production and processing plant (HDPEPP);
Low density polyethylene plant (LDPE);
Organic products plant;
Nitrogen, oxygen and cold production plant;
Capital repair preparation and carrying out plant;
Auxiliary facilities
The general types of production are: ethylene, polyethylene of low and high density, ethylene oxide, phenol-acetone and polyethylene pipes.
The general types of raw materials for production are: ethane, propane-butane, benzene, the delivery of these products is done by pipelines and by railway transport. There is ethylene pipeline connecting OJSC “Kazanorgsintez” with other ethylene manufacturers.
OJSC “Kazanorgsintez” produces more than 1 million tons of chemical products annually and it is the largest manufacturer of low and high density polyethylene, gas supplying polyethylene pipes, phenol, acetone, coolants, chemical agents for oil production and natural gas dehydration. Nomenclature range of production includes more than 300 different grades. The products shipment is fulfilled by railway and automobile transport. More than 20% of products is exported.
The quality system is certified according to GOST-R ISO 9001-2001 system and MC ISO 9001-2001 international standard system.
